Drawing on the past...

Have you checked out Kindle Books and Tips yet?

"The Kindle Books and Tips blog has a simple purpose to provide an interactive blog where you will receive tips to maximize your Kindle experience, author interviews, articles from the author’s take on the eBook world, links to special and discounted Kindle books, and the heads-up on the numerous books, short stories, and more available to read (and listen to) on your Kindle for no charge from numerous sites in addition to Amazon."

Every week they have a "Meet the Author" feature. This week it's yours truly. I really wanted to make this different from other posts I've done, so this one includes information about me that I've never revealed in public before but that I draw on in my writing.

  1. Hi Vicki - enjoyed your piece in Meet the Author! Can understand why a private person might have held some of that back, but I feel I understand your work better now. Love your work!

    1. Thanks, Adam. What's that saying about being a sum of our experiences? Something I'm sure you can relate to.

  2. Just read it and really enjoyed it, though I was sorry to read about your mother's suicide. Your books are great. Here's to many more.

  4. Hi Vicki, I read your Guest Blog Post a couple of times now and want to say that I truly admire your ability and strength of character to have overcome those personal hardships in your life.
I can certainly understand how your life experiences have enriched your writings and brought your characters to life.
You give out such warmth and kindness to everyone who has the pleasure of being in contact with you and I say more power to you … keep building on your successes and enjoy every minute – they are thoroughly deserved. Sue xx
